Richard Hooker born 1554 died 1600, was an English priest in the Church of England and an influential theologian. He was one of the most important English theologians of the sixteenth century. This statue is outside Exeter Cathedral. It was sculpted from white Pentilicon marble from Greece. The artist was Alfred Drury RA.
